Oluwafunlola Falade, a standout UCF student entrepreneur, took first place in the Blackstone LaunchPad Business Model Competition, earning $3,000 and a spot in the International Business Model Competition at Brigham Young University. His venture, Quarterwear, is a nonprofit, crowd-funded apparel platform that donates a portion of proceeds to charitable causes.

The competition, supported by Nperspective CFO Services and Digithinkit, challenged students to validate their business ideas through customer insight and real-world testing. Cameron Ford, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, praised Falade’s ability to learn through feedback and refine his concept effectively.
Additional teams were recognized, including LegallyLink (2nd), JOOX (3rd), and Ezar (4th). The event highlights UCF’s commitment to nurturing student innovators through the Blackstone LaunchPad’s mentorship and venture-building resources.
