Four innovative student teams from the University of Central Florida will compete in the Joust New Venture Competition on April 11, presenting their startup ideas for a chance to win $50,000 in funding and resources. Hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Blackstone LaunchPad, the event showcases ventures across cybersecurity, insurance, disability services, and defense training.
Finalists include CyberColosseum Solutions, offering immersive cyber warfare simulations; Emergency Insights, providing hazard risk assessments for individuals and counties; Unbound Disability Claims, streamlining Social Security Disability applications; and ZuLeris Interactive, developing virtual electromagnetic warfare training environments. Judged by industry leaders, the competition highlights UCF’s commitment to nurturing student entrepreneurship.
