Mason Mincey and Brandon Naids are two University of Central Florida students whose entrepreneurial journeys were transformed by the Blackstone LaunchPad program.

Mincey, co-founder of Soarce USA, develops plant-based nanoscale fibers for sustainable athletic wear in his garage-turned-lab, having learned from earlier ventures including drones and rockets that failed to launch. Naids, originally an engineering student, pivoted from a senior project to founding Talon Simulations, now a thriving business providing virtual reality flight simulators to venues nationwide. Both credit LaunchPad’s mentorship, resources, and real-world guidance for helping them evolve from passionate students into innovative business leaders.
