UCF seniors and sneaker enthusiasts Eric Delgado and Victoria Weiss turned their passion project, Rope Lace Supply, into an award-winning venture—earning second place and a $10,000 prize at the 2016 Forbes Under 30 Summit in Boston. Their company, which sells custom shoelaces for sneaker lovers, has grown from a $300 dorm-room startup into a global brand with over 150,000 pairs sold and $800,000 in revenue.

Delgado and Weiss credit the Blackstone LaunchPad at UCF for mentorship and support that helped boost their revenue and scale their business. Since launching, Rope Lace Supply has reached customers in 75 countries, collaborated with major brands like Adidas and Finish Line, and continues to expand, aiming to enter 100 retailers and secure licensing agreements with top athletic companies.
