Connor Huseman, Nicholas Martins, and Mazen Youness, seniors at UCF’s College of Business, won the 2023 Joust New Venture Competition with VIP Hard Seltzer, a health-conscious beverage infused with collagen protein and 7% alcohol. Their innovative product stood out among nearly 50 applicants and earned them $12,000 in prize money.
The Joust, UCF’s premier startup showcase, featured four finalists pitching to a panel of esteemed judges from major industries. Other finalists included Certusa AI, Hire Match, and PostFlight, each offering socially impactful ventures. The event, hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, celebrates student innovation and provides resources to launch viable businesses.
